Station Hand (Level depends on experience) - All Properties Opportunities for Station Hand/Stock Person positions may become available throughout the course of the season across Kidman's portfolio of properties throughout QLD, NT, SA and WA. Primary duties include: Assisting with effective and timely herd management, including: mustering, branding, weaning, culling, sales, herd health programs and segregation of livestock classes; Observing and reporting land and environmental issues on the property; Observing safe work procedures; Undertaking vehicle maintenance; Assisting with maintaining and developing facilities and improvements upon the station; Assisting with record keeping; Maintaining good verbal communication. Applicants with skills in cattle handling, horse and motor bike riding will be strongly regarded. Station Cook/Domestic - Woomanooka Woomanooka, an outstation of Durham Downs Station, located 240 km West of Thargomindah in South West Queensland, is seeking a full-time Station Cook/Domestic for immediate commencement. The successful applicant will need to be capable of carrying out the following duties: Planning menus; Ordering supplies; Preparing meals for up to 5 people; and Maintaining the kitchen, dining room and food storage areas in a clean, tidy and hygienic state. Basic cooking skills and excellent standards of cleanliness are essential. When not carrying out cooking requirements, other duties will include general domestic/gardening activities around the homestead complex. An appreciation for rural and remote living is recommended.
